Briwax Restoration & Conservation was founded on a passion for preserving the furniture, timberwork, and craftsmanship that deserve to be passed on to future generations.
Behind Briwax is master craftsman Chris Powell, whose restoration journey began in England through a traditional apprenticeship in French polishing and furniture restoration.
His career would go on to include work on significant heritage pieces, historic buildings, and prestigious restoration projects before bringing those skills to New Zealand.
Today, that same commitment to craftsmanship remains at the heart of everything we do.
From antique furniture and family heirlooms to architectural timberwork, staircases, kitchens, custom joinery, and contemporary pieces, every project is approached with patience, precision, and respect for the original work.
